Jordan Brand raises prices on Retros

It was recently confirmed that the price increases for Jordan Brand Retros will take place starting this holiday season with the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” Retro. Look out for a price increase of only $5 to $185. May not sound like much but looking at the bigger picture(worldwide sales) & the fact that most shoe addicts and long time fans consider even current prices to be too steep, one has to wonder what this will mean for future purchases..

HUF 10th ANNIVERSARY PHOTO TEE SERIES
HUF is celebrating its 10-year anniversary as a brand with the limited edition HUF 10th Anniversary Photo Tee Series. For this project, HUF has teamed up with various photographers who have made a major impact on the world of skateboard photography over the years. Through the creative effort and critical eye of these select individuals, skateboarding has been documented in such a way as to provide a unique history of the rich culture and lifestyle that comprises it. Each month through 2012, HUF will release a new installment to the series featuring the work of one of these select photographers.

HUF releases the third installment of the series in collaboration with photographer Mike O’Meally. O’Meally was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. He began photographing skateboarding in the early nineties and moved to New York City in 1998 to work for SLAP & Thrasher Magazine. He has since worked as Senior Photographer for Skateboarder Magazine and Transworld Magazine, and has been shooting for nearly 20 years. In addition to the thrill of shooting skateboarding, O’Meally also enjoys traveling and photographing a wide range of subjects, including anything from amateur boxers in East LA to zinc mines in Tasmania, to name a few. O’Meally’s photo of Keith Hufnagel for this project was shot during his first ever visit to NYC in 1997.

NIKE STORE LAUNCHES TWITTER RSVP SYSTEM

First it was the Concords last year then the ever popular Galaxy Foamposite which caused a nationwide sneaker frenzy and lead to injury, arrest, dishonesty(for lack to better terms). So, Nike has Implemented the “Twitter RSVP System” a method which they hope will resolve those issues and make it more safe as well as fair to seek the exclusive shoes you may want to purchase @ your local Nikestore. Details are as follows:

Twitter RSVP is used to help manage product launches at Nike Stores. Follow your local Nike Store on Twitter for launch announcements and frequent updates.

The Twitter RSVP Process:

• On the RSVP date, our store will send a tweet at a random time to begin our Twitter RSVP process, including a product specific hashtag (#tag).
• Once registration is open, you must Direct Message (“DM”) the store within 60 minutes. The DM must include:
  1. The product-specific #tag tweeted by the store
  2. The last 4 digits of your State/Passport/Military/School ID number
  3. Your shoe size (limit one).
• Confirmations from the store will be sent via DM to those who have successfully secured their requested size.  Shoes will be awarded on a “first respond, first serve” basis.
• Confirmed recipients must pick up their product (in person w/ identification) from the store on the day of launch. Unclaimed product will be announced on Twitter and will be re-released at the store’s discretion.

How do you properly RSVP through DM? Here’s an example:

#ReleaseUpdate. Due to extremely limited quantities, we will not be launching the “Galaxy” Foamposite One at NikeStore online.

Better pitch tents…NDC is a haven for kick fiends alike to buy, and more importantly an outlet to prevent camping. Ironically, buying from the site is practically impossible cause the site reportedly crashed during big releases..
