May 24th, Guerilla Union hosted the Rock the Bells 2010 Launch Party and Line-up Debut Event which featured Hors d’oeuvres, a press conference, followed by Q & A interviews of everyone on the discussion panel. We were there live via press and got an exclusive insight on what to expect from this years Hip-Hop festival. First, the show will be in 4 cities this year:
Aug. 21 – NOS Events Center – San Bernardino, CA
Aug. 22 – Shoreline Amphitheater – San Francisco, CA
Aug. 28 – Governer’s Island – New York
Aug. 29 – Merriweather Pavilion – Columbia, MD
What you may think is lacking in locations or quantity is made up in acts and quality as GU is making 2010 one of the biggest festivals this year as the following acts will be at this years show(s):
Supernatural – Hosting
DJ Rocky Rock – Hosting
Performing:
Wu-Tang Clan, Rakim, KRS-One, Slick Rick, Street Sweeper Social Club, Murs and 9th Wonder, Wiz Khalifa, Clipse, Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks, Brother Ali, DJ Muggs and Ill Bill, Big Sean, Yelawolf,
To add to the hype GU is having headliners perform their most influential albums in their entirety. Wu-Tang Clan will perform Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers from beginning to end, Rakim is set to perform Paid In Full, his first full-length album with Eric B. Slick Rick will spit his 1989 released, The Great Adventures of Slick Rick, and KRS-One will perform all of Criminal Minded.
The online leak claim that ATCQ(A Tribe Called Quest) & Lauryn Hill was promptly addressed. With the show(s) being over 3 months out, It’s way too early to confirm those two acts being incorporated into the line-up.

After all the discussions, press, photos, video, interviews, questions, and networking, it was time to enjoy the show as GU presented the performances and show to the public. We at A07 Entertainment & Media would like to thank the following for letting us cover this event. Here’s a few of the photos from press view.

Download: The Remixtapes Vol. 1 D.O.M.
One thing that we here at A07 Entertainment and Media try to stress is to “Seek Change, As We Rise“. Being more than just a company, we pride ourselves on the family-type bond we have towards one another. We hold each other down, making sure our heads are set on striving to progress consistently, taking our dreams to the next level, and leaving no one behind. All born and raised in the Sunny City of San Diego, we feel it is important for those on the outside (as well as the inside) to know that our city is going through change and has something to contribute.
Being often overlooked, San Diego is demanding back its respect one step at a time. This year we have made it a goal of ours to focus on our locals, whether it be through; music, fashion, sports, art, events, and so on.
The question that’s been flying around in our city and on twitter lately is What is D.O.M? well yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending a studio listening session, as well as getting an insight on the project through an interview with Hartman, owner of The Batkave, and through Cipher (consisting of 4 artist out of many on #D.O.M.).
The Remixtapes Vol. 1 D.O.M. will be available for hard copy tonight at Decos for free. If you are no where near San Diego, make sure to click the download link above.

Rise Again

Usually, we @ A07 Entertainment & Media stray away from first person usage when posting content on our website for our supporters and followers. Words such as “I”, “my”, and “me” are not allowed. Our primary focus is to envoke a certain family bond in everything we do, however, in light of our sudden “misbehavior”, for lack of a better term, “I” would like to discuss a few things with readers near and a far.
For those who know us………knew us. For those who know of us still don’t know us. Our recent hiatus stems from a lack of motivation that was forshawdowed months before the 2010 year. The same content, actions, and atmosphere that is Entertainment & Media blended with Nightlife, which prompted the rise of A07, had become the core catalyst of our sudden downfall. Add to that, the lack ascertained resources needed to lay the foundation, and you find yourself letting a dream you spent 3 years perfecting go to waste, a website that took 3 months to design depreciate, and a fam you love let down due to your lack of diligence.
By now, you understand the ownership invovled. Better yet the responsibility & accountibility for this companies actions. As weeks went on, “I” felt more and more guilty for falling behind at being at the forefront of this cities progression. The old saying goes, “If you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for anything”. We’ll at this point I’m falling for nothing. What was once a look into a bright future had become a dull lifestyle that only the potential-less could feel comfortable with.
A new month is approaching and I thought I’d never escape this mindframe until last night..After 6 hrs of video gaming with people I call my fam, something struck me. I sat up at 3am realizing what I have accomplished since starting A07. We @ A07 have gone from battles with V.I.C.E over house parites, to sitting on tour buses with The Cool Kids to sitting backstage with T.i, from Vegas to San Diego, Suge Knight to Kid Cudi to Crooks & Castles to Wale. Our potential to succeed was never put at stake. We are at the point where we are “in too deep” meaning we can’t just back down. Whatever “it” is, it won’t allow us too. A part of this city and a part of Entertainment & Media needs A07 and quite frankly A07 needs Entertainment & Media. The wonderful people that make up A07 need each other. “I” need “my” fam, “I” love “my” fam, and “I” am apologizing to any and everyone that has lost, been set back or had to struggle due to “my” actions. “I” am back and for 2010 San Diego will know who we are what we stand for if it kills me. So, to Marcus, Ash, Dauche, Jay, and Monique. This is my promise to you: Never again will you be put through what you faced this month. To the industry: I owe so much more than What I have given. Ta’East, Piff, Makeshift, Early, Dj Kali: you guys are the future of this town and its our job to show that and I apologize for not doing so 100%. Everything else is now a blur…..Thanks for the time

Ta’East: The “Popular Stranger”

Ta’East was born Aaron Ta’East Evans, July 20th 1986 in Russellville, Kentucky. After being abandoned by his father at nine months, his mother moved him along with his two older siblings to Southern California at the age of two. Being raised in a single parent household and moving back and forth from Kentucky to California, Ta’East grew up a leader and trendsetter as an imaginative child. After finding an interest in art at a young age, he discovered his creative skills and a love for drawing. It didn’t take long for him to develop a passion for music. Growing up listening to artists such as Michael Jackson, The Fugees, 8 Ball & MJG, UGK, Timbaland, Jay-Z, and The Notorious B.I.G., he memorized every lyric from top to bottom learning his delivery as an artist. At the age of thirteen after taking a trip back to his hometown, Ta’East was convinced to rap for his uncle Delano “ACE” Boyd, who was a local producer in Kentucky. While Ta’East originally wanted to produce hip-hop and R&B instrumentals, he quickly discovered his talent as a hip-hop artist. At the age of sixteen, he met My House Productions founder Brian Marrow through a mutual friend, who he began making music with. By the age nineteen he began working closely with local San Diego producers and close friends Mark “Chicago” Beard and Cairo McGee. Later, Ta’East started his own brand of music creating Impeccable Entertainment. His leadership skills took effect when he created a team of artists and producers under his label including local artists Young Lyxx and Cairo.
Today he is currently becoming one of the top artists in San Diego County. With creative concepts and an undeniable voice, he has a niche that HIP HOP NEEDS. Ta’East is a highly motivated individual with the ambition, drive and hunger to succeed in the music industry as a major recording artist. Although he is money motivated, his strive for success is influenced solely by his love of music. Ta’East feels that he is hip-hop at its purest. While using slick rhymes, clever wordplay, and truth behind every line, he embodies every requirement for crossover success with his brand of music. By building a fan base with relatable topics and hypnotic choruses, he is more than ready to become a factor in the music industry.
A07 x Paul Wall “Pow Wow”

We had the opportunity to spend the day with Houston’s own, Paul Wall. During that time, we chopped it up with him a bit and got some quick photos and footage. We also covered Chi-town’s, Twista, performance. Pics can been seen here and the footage is below. We like to give a shoutout to Paul, Kat, & Rich-n-Rude.
