So we’ve been keeping up with Guerilla Union and this years Rock the Bells and we told you they’re going all out this year!. We just received news that Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, DJ Premier, and Lauryn Hill.

Before the official announcement, there was tons of online speculation to go around prior the the press conference with the first leak coming from URB Magazine that Tribe and Lauryn would be headlining. That was cleared up by GU emphasizing that it was too early to confirm or deny the claim.

Now it’s official. Along with Hip-Hop’s elite performing entire albums, Snoop Dogg will be performing all of Doggystyle and his set will feature guest performances by Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound, Lady of Rage and RBX. A Tribe Called Quest is perform Midnight Marauders which single handedly change Hip-Hop. DJ Premiere will be doing a Gang Starr Tribute and Lauryn Hill will will have a special set doing records from her past trio, The Fugees and here ever so popular, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

May 24th, Guerilla Union hosted the Rock the Bells 2010 Launch Party and Line-up Debut Event which featured Hors d’oeuvres, a press conference, followed by Q & A interviews of everyone on the discussion panel. We were there live via press and got an exclusive insight on what to expect from this years Hip-Hop festival. First, the show will be in 4 cities this year:

Aug. 21 – NOS Events Center – San Bernardino, CA
Aug. 22 – Shoreline Amphitheater – San Francisco, CA
Aug. 28 – Governer’s Island – New York
Aug. 29 – Merriweather Pavilion – Columbia, MD

What you may think is lacking in locations or quantity is made up in acts and quality as GU is making 2010 one of the biggest festivals this year as the following acts will be at this years show(s):

Supernatural – Hosting
DJ Rocky Rock – Hosting

Wu-Tang Clan, Rakim, KRS-One, Slick Rick, Street Sweeper Social Club, Murs and 9th Wonder, Wiz Khalifa, Clipse, Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks, Brother Ali, DJ Muggs and Ill Bill, Big Sean, Yelawolf,

To add to the hype GU is having headliners perform their most influential albums in their entirety. Wu-Tang Clan will perform Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers from beginning to end, Rakim is set to perform Paid In Full, his first full-length album with Eric B. Slick Rick will spit his 1989 released, The Great Adventures of Slick Rick, and KRS-One will perform all of Criminal Minded.

The online leak claim that ATCQ(A Tribe Called Quest) & Lauryn Hill was promptly addressed. With the show(s) being over 3 months out, It’s way too early to confirm those two acts being incorporated into the line-up.

After all the discussions, press, photos, video, interviews, questions, and networking, it was time to enjoy the show as GU presented the performances and show to the public. We at A07 Entertainment & Media would like to thank the following for letting us cover this event. Here’s a few of the photos from press view.
