Mitchy Slick, one-third of acclaimed group Strong Arm Steady, is back with his new solo effort, Feet Match the Paint. Over the course of 15 tracks Slick brings listeners deep inside his native California in classic west coast fashion.

All tracks on the project as produced by DJ Fresh (aka The World’s Freshest). In addition to rhymes from Slick, Feet Match the Paint features guest vocals from KRNDN and Phil the Agony (of SAS), MURS, Planet Asia and many more.

This album is now available for free stream and direct purchase. Included in the deluxe DJBooth-edition are three bonus tracks.

San Diego’s veteran lyricist Mitchy Slick, of Strong Arm Steady fame, hooks up with infamous DJ/ producer, The World’s Freshest (formally known as DJ Fresh) to present their first collaborative project, ‘Feet Match The Paint’. Fans of the Strong Arm Steady MC have waited over six years for a solo project from Mitchy Slick, and it is evident that he has not missed a step during his solo hiatus. Feet Match The Paint features an appealing juxtaposition between the delivery of Mitchy Slick’s gritty hard lyrics, and The World’s Freshest providing a lush and melodic landscape – ensuring a sound that anyone can get down to.

Mitchy Slick and The World’s Freshest quickly became friends after The World’s Freshest was one of the first people to extend his hand to Mitchy Slick when he first came to the Bay Area. After listening to the initial beats, Mitchy Slick was immediately drawn to The World’s Freshest’s unique and original sound.

In a day and age of most music being made and recorded over emails and IM’s the two wanted to take it back and spent numerous hours and days together in the studio, often taking breaks to get food, hit the mall, and hang out – their chemistry is evident in the music that is on Feet Match The Paint.
